My Awesome Talented Husband

Dan has played guitar and sang since I met him. It's something I've always loved about him. He's always been good and he's even gotten better over time. I love sitting in the living room listening to him and sometimes attempting to sing with him. He is very good and he has no idea. He has always been very timid about playing in front of people even when I told him he should. Well.....I am sitting in traffic driving to my moms house from work last Saturday and get a call from my Dad. He is at Wings and Things in Sharpsburg and is holding the phone out asking me if I can hear. He has a friend, Tim, who plays all the time and has for years that was playing at Wings and Things that night. I couldn't hear well and was wondering why he was wanting me to hear so bad. IT WAS DAN! I couldn't believe it....now he did get tricked. He thought Tim wanted him to get up there and just strum the guitar with him. Well, when Dan got up there Tim said here you go, I'm going to take a break. Dan was surprised to say the least, but he didn't make a scene, He just got up there and played! I was so upset I missed seeing this, but I'm so proud of Dan....Daddy held the phone up and I heard everyone clapping and cheering for him. So here's a pic of my hot, famous husband :)

I love fall weather

It was so nice out the other day that I took Jake and Luke up to the playground for a picnic and some playtime.
This was Lukes first time in a swing at the playground. I don't think he was real sure about it.

He loves this thing as you can see. I'm always afraid he' going to smack his head on it from rocking so hard.
It was a little hard for Jake to concentrate on eating while looking at the playground, but we had a really good time...up until it was time for naps. I wish it could be this weather all year round!

Happy Fall Ya'll

We've had a great fall so far. Dan has come out of the woods from hunting long enough for us to go to Burts Pumpkin Farm, the Apple House, Trick-or-Treating, and a long drive through the mountains. Jake and I also made some yummy Halloween cookies (they tasted better than they looked)

This was the first house Jake trick-or-treated at. The lady opened the door and Jake proceeded to try and walk in her house, tripped over the door frame and tried to grab the candy out of her bowl. We had to quickly teach him halloween etiquitte.

Also, Dan's football team won their county football championship...it was awesome, they worked so hard for it.

Here we go....

Ok, I'm going to give this a try even though I may be terrible at it. I love reading other peoples blogs and have become a bit of a "blog stalker." I refuse to scrapbook, so I think this will be a good way of keeping up with what goes on in our lives for us to look back on.

Disclaimer: I am not an extremely insightful person so it will be mostly pictures I'm sure. Don't check on my blog everyday....I will be impressed if I update my blog a couple of times a month. Please disregard any bad spelling or grammar, I'm just not good at it. If you are reading this, thanks for thinking we are interesting enough to read about.

Who we are:

Dan and Christine-married for 6 years and best friends. Dan is a Health/PE teacher and coaches football and baseball. He is also a commander in the Army Reserves. He is getting his Masters Degree in Education......he's a little busy. Christine is a Labor and Delivery nurse and works part-time and stays home with the boys 5 days a week.

Jake-2 1/2 years old and all boy. He is very sweet and polite, but he will tackle you in a second. He is not the kid to sit down and watch a movie, he'd rather play ball or be outside.

Luke-4 months old and sooo sweet. He's also on the high end of the weight charts. He is 17.2lbs at 4 months. He just laughs and smiles all the time.
